Job Description


We are seeking a highly motivated NPI Procurement team member, whom will be responsible to lead and drive procurement activities for a portfolio of new products within our Flash Business Unit. You will act as a trusted adviser and partner to the business, applying consistent guidelines for compliance, and managing risk and business ethics.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

As the Materials Program Manager, you will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Actively participating in the development of new products to ensure appropriate and timely material release, supplier establishment and inventory systems to support timely product launches.
  • Providing expansive thought leadership through collaboration with cross-functional teams, ensuring new products meet cost, quality, functionality, schedule, product launch and production objectives.
  • Driving team to achieve external product BOM Cost targets by meeting both Should Cost (Target Costs) and PCR costs.
  • Ensuring programs have the appropriate resiliency to prevent delays due to issues within the Supply Chain.
  • Working directly with multi-function teams and suppliers to address issues that may impact schedule and supply.
  • Collaborating with senior stakeholders to align on product sourcing plan and cost objectives.
  • Tracking new product program expenditures.
  • Participating in various program related meetings, Program Cost Reviews, etc. as Procurement representative.
  • Interfacing with Sourcing Team and Factory Materials to ensure a smooth hand-off of material requirements at product transfer.
  • Completing deliverables on time at each required program milestone.


Qualifications


REQUIRED:

  • Proven 5+ years of related materials program management experience with deep understanding of best-in-class procurement business practices.
  • Demonstrated “hands on” leader with an eagerness to contribute and deliver results.

PREFERRED:

  • Recent background (3-5 years) in data storage and related advanced electronics and mechanical components and products, preferred

SKILLS:

  • Highly collaborative by nature; transparent and open-minded
  • Proven data driven problem-solver with a tendency to be practical and innovative
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Consistently work on complex assignments requiring independent action and a high degree of initiative to resolve issues
  • Excellent communicator with a strong sense of professionalism with the ability to effectively present at all levels of the organization
  • An influencer, able to drive consensus across stakeholders
  • Accountable and self-motivated individual with ability to work under pressure with changing priorities and limited information
  • Anticipative and strategic thinker
  • A strong sense of integrity and dedication to ethical business practices
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word). Experience with ERP/MRP systems required.
